Timesheet Template Defaults

Timesheet Template Defaults

COMING SOON - late November

We have improved our new person default settings to make the employee setup process in CloudPayroll smoother and more efficient. These enhancements automatically configure timesheet settings based on the selected Employment Basis and ensure the correct leave entitlements are applied.

When adding a new employee:
  1. Timesheet settings will be automatically applied according to the selected Employment Basis.
  2. This automation applies only to new employees who have not yet been paid.
  3. If the employee has already been paid, timesheet settings will not update automatically. Instead, you’ll see a warning prompting you to review and manually update the timesheet template if needed.

You can control which leave rules and loading rates are applied by default, by going to Setup > Organisation > Defaults > Timesheet Template Defaults.

By default, CloudPayroll will use the configuration shown in the screenshot below.

When adding a new person, you will now see the Employment Basis field on the Add Person screen. Once you complete this screen and click Continue, the Timesheet Template will be automatically updated based on the selected employment basis.
