Setting up Your Organisation

Before you can start to process a payroll you must enter your organisation details in CloudPayroll.

Your Organisation Name and Address Details


Organisation Name

The Organisation business name, or the trading name your Organisation is known by.

Legal Name

The legal name is name on your Australian Business Register - Entity name.

Physical Address

The physical address of your Organisation.

Postal Address

The address CloudPayroll will use when posting private and confidential documents to you.

Your Organisation Banking Options

Payment Methods Defined

There is one option available for CloudPayroll MICRO - same day Direct Debit by CloudPayroll. Your monthly fee will be deducted on the 1st of each month.

Bank Account

Fill in your Organisation bank account number that you want CloudPayroll to debit your payroll funds from.

Net Payments Method

Only option available to CloudPayroll MICRO is managed by yourself.

  • After you confirm each payroll, a bank ABA file will be available for you to download. This can then be uploaded through your business banking software. Alternatively, you can manually enter employees' net pay data directly through Internet banking.
  • 'Direct Entry user' and 'Direct Entry number' is required if you are planning on using the Bank ABA file.  You will need to contact your bank to get these details.

Superannuation Payments

Only option available to CloudPayroll MICRO is managed by yourself.

  • You will pay the superannuation through your preferred clearing house.  CloudPayroll can provide a SAFF file which can be uploaded to your chosen clearing house.

Your Organisation Tax Details

  • Enter either your Australian Bank Number  (ABN) or Withholding Payer Number (WPN).
  • All employers must be registered with an ABN or WPN to process their payroll with CloudPayroll.

Pay PAYG at time of Payroll

This option is not available on CloudPayroll MICRO.

Your Organisation Payroll Options

  • Set CloudPayroll to send you a reminder email to complete a payroll.
  • The organisation can nominate to be sent a payroll reminder email. The user determines the number of days prior to the standard payroll confirmation date that this email is received.
  • Set your Payroll Options on your Organisation Details page under Setup.

Your Organisation Email and Contact Details


Your Organisation Email Contact(s)

These are the email addresses we hold for your Organisation. CloudPayroll will send emails to these addresses on matters such as when a payroll is due, or when a payroll has to be confirmed. For MICRO you are only allowed one user per organisation.

Your Organisation contact person('s)

  • It is important to keep these fields up to date, as all invoices and contact from the CloudPayroll team will be directed to the contact email address(es) or phone number('s). The support team will only be able to liaise with those listed in the contacts section.
  • If we need to get in touch with you, we will try to reach the contacts in descending order on the list, starting at the top.  You may re-arrange your priority order by selecting the up and down arrows.
  • To add a new contact, select '+Add' on the right hand side above your contacts. Press 'Save' to save your changes.
