Google Authenticator App for IOS

Install Google Authenticator App

First, you need to install this app on your device:

Once the Google Authenticator app is installed on your device, you can then set up two-factor authentication.

Go to:

Scan a QR Code

  1. On your device, open the Google Authenticator app.
  2. In Google Authenticator, tap the +.
    Google Authenticator displays a menu.
  3. Tap Scan a QR code.
  4. With your device, scan the QR code.
    Google Authenticator adds the account to the app. A 6-digit verification code, which is updated every 30 seconds, displays.
  5. In CloudPayroll, on the Two Factor Authentication page, enter the 6-digit verification code in the Verification code field and select Confirm.
    Note: You need to select Confirm before the code regenerates.

Note: Google Authenticator indicates how many seconds are left before the code expires, showing a countdown clock, as well as changing the code to red to indicate 5 seconds remaining before the code expires. If you don't have time to enter and confirm the code, as there are not many seconds left, wait until the code refreshes and use the latest code.

Tip: Tap the 6-digit code to copy the verification code.

Manually Enter a Time-Based Key

  1. On your device, open the Google Authenticator app.
  2. In Google Authenticator, tap the +.
    Google Authenticator displays a menu.
  3. Tap Enter a setup key.
    The 'Enter account details' screen displays.
  4. In the Account field, enter your account name (for example, your CloudPayroll username).
  5. In the Key field, enter the 16-character time-based key or paste the time-based key from CloudPayroll.
    Note: The time-based key is under the QR code in CloudPayroll. In CloudPayroll, select I can't scan the QR code to display the time-based key.
  6. Make sure Time-based is displayed.
  7. Tap Add.
    Google Authenticator adds the account to the app. A 6-digit verification code, which is updated every 30 seconds, displays.
  8. In CloudPayroll, on the Two Factor Authentication page, enter the 6-digit verification code in the Verification code field and select Confirm.
    Note: You need to select Confirm before the code regenerates.

Remove an Account

  1. On your device, open the Google Authenticator app.
  2. In Google Authenticator, tap the ... icon on the top right of the screen.
  3. Tap Edit at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap the Pencil icon on the right side of the account you want to remove.
    The 'Edit account' screen displays.
  5. Tap the Bin icon at the top right of the page.
  6. The 'Are you sure that you want to remove this account?' prompt appears.
  7. Tap Remove account.
    Google Authenticator removes the account.
  8. Tap the ✔ to return to the main screen.
