Close in Advance

Once a payroll is Closed in Advance, no changes can be made to that payroll by yourself or CloudPayroll. 

Close in Advance allows you to close off your currently confirmed payroll and open a new payroll up.

Confirmer/Paymasters with the following payment options can close a payroll in advance themselves via their confirm screen: Two Day Direct Debit/Net Payments Managed by CloudPayroll, Same Day Direct Debit by CloudPayroll/Net Payments Managed by Yourself and File sent on your behalf (Bureau Pack).

To Close a Payroll in Advance

1. Once you have completed processing and have reviewed your pay
   
2. Confirm the payroll
3. Download the aba file (if required for clients managing their own net payments)
4. Select Close in Advance
   

      5. Review the information on the screen before clicking Close this Payroll in Advance

      6. A warning will pop up, informing you that you can not make any changes to this payroll once closed

      7. Finally click Close in Advance to close the payroll.

      8. Once the payroll has been closed, you will be able to go back to Payroll > 1. Open and open a new payroll.
